More about The Legislated Method for Treating Magic and the Evil Eye

The Quran and Ahädith are among the greatest blessings bestowed upon us by the Lord of the Worlds. They provide a cure for both the apparent and hidden aspects of our being, addressing both body and soul. With this great bounty, a person has no need for anything other than it, provided that they fully comprehend and submit to it with full faith. Allah says in the "This day have I perfected your religion for you." (Quran 5:3) Some people fail to value the religion and believe it to be incomplete. They pursue other "-isms" and alternative paths. Others view the Quran and Ahädith solely as a source of spiritual cure related to the success of the hereafter, neglecting the physical cure that brings happiness in this life as well as the next. While some people depend solely upon doctors for physical diseases and illnesses, they fail to realize that the adhkär mentioned in the Quran and Ahädith are also of great benefit in regards to physical diseases and illnesses. In fact, these adhkär and supplications hold greater power than Western medicine. The duG' is the weapon of a believer, as has been reported in the Hadith collected in al-Mustadrak. The Prophet S.A.W emphasized the importance of duG' and adhkar, prescribing specific adhkar for specific occasions. For this reason, every Muslim should strive to memorize these adhkar due to their importance. This booklet (Risalah) addresses two essential the cure for the evil eye and curing magic at the advice of Al-Haj Pracha, as people are in great need of understanding these issues.

About the author

Aminullah al-Peshawari

Aminullah al-Peshawari

Shaykh Aminullah al-Peshawari is a Pakistani Islamic scholar of Pashtun heritage, named for his association with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa city of Peshawar, who has spent the major portion of his teaching career at the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia. He is a longtime professor of hadith and associated Islamic sciences at the university, where he has trained generations of students drawn from across the Muslim world to study the canonical Sunni hadith and creed traditions in their classical Arabic forms.

Al-Peshawari's published works circulate primarily in Urdu and Arabic, with selected titles translated into English for international Salafi-oriented audiences. His writing focuses on the foundations of Islamic creed, hadith methodology, the biographies of senior hadith narrators, and refutations of contemporary innovations in creed and ritual practice. He is associated with the broader Madinah-trained scholarly current and his lectures and recorded courses have circulated widely in Pakistani Salafi study circles and among Pashto-speaking Muslim audiences in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the diaspora.

Specific biographical details — birth date, family background, and full publication list — remain unevenly documented in publicly available English sources. His sustained presence at the Islamic University of Madinah and his teaching influence across multiple generations of students from across the Muslim world constitute his enduring scholarly contribution, with his translated works continuing to circulate among English-speaking Salafi readers and students of hadith methodology.
