Muhammad S. Adly Biography
Shaykh Muhammad S. Adly was born in Egypt in 1949 from the tribe of Juhayynah. His early education and traditional Islamic schooling led to him obtaining two Ijazah degrees (scholarly licenses/degrees) from institutions in both Egypt and Saudi Arabia, a testament to his expertise in Islamic sciences. He taught for a period in the Holy Mosque in Makkah before migrating to the United States in 1975. In the US, Shaykh Adly established his primary region of operation in the Tri-State area and later South Carolina. He held several prominent positions, including Imam in Brooklyn, NY, a school principal, and a representative for the Muslim World League. Since 1981, he has served as the Director of the Islamic Center Of Columbia in South Carolina, where he currently resides, and is also an active member of the American Muslim Jurists Association (AMJA)
