Abdul Malik Al-Qasim Biography
Abdul-Malik bin Muhammad ibn Abdul-Rahman al-Qasim is a contemporary Saudi compiler and writer of devotional Islamic literature, widely published through Darussalam Publishers in Riyadh. His works span akhlaq, ibadah, family life, and the remembrance of death and the hereafter, drawing heavily on the lives and sayings of the salaf to illustrate practical Islamic conduct.
Among al-Qasim's most widely circulated titles in English are Silent Moments (a study of death and what follows it), Kindness to Parents, The Road to Good Friendship, and Hindrances on the Path. His writing style is compilatory rather than strictly analytical: he gathers narrations from the Qur'an, hadith, and the biographies of the early Muslims, then weaves them into accessible spiritual guidance for a general readership. His books have been translated into more than twenty languages and distributed widely through Islamic da'wah organizations.
Al-Qasim's pastoral and devotional emphasis has made his work especially popular as introductory reading for new Muslims and as supplementary material in family and youth-oriented Islamic education.
